I love to get involved when I shoot an event. I want to get into the crowd, onto the field or the stage.
After a while, people forget I’m there. That’s when I’m in a position to get a unique picture that captures the essence of an event.
Events are a rush. The adrenaline pumps, I run around a lot, focus and concentration have to be full-on every minute. I’m always flattened the day after I cover a big event, like the 2010 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Benefit or July 4th at American Tobacco.
